📍 Middleton | £40,000 per annum + commission + car allowance
Full time, Hybrid Working, Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team and play a key role in driving the company’s growth. This role is focused on identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients and partners, and expanding our presence within the industry. You’ll work closely with internal teams to develop opportunities, secure new contracts, and ensure our customers continue to receive the high standards of service we’re known for.
The role is all about building connections, spotting opportunities, and turning them into long-term partnerships that support the continued success of the business. You’ll be selling Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) contracts within the fire industry, specifically covering dry and wet riser systems, creating strong recurring revenue streams and long-term client relationships.
You’ll be supported by a highly experienced operational team delivering:
National coverage by specialist engineers using specially adapted testing vehicles
A comprehensive 16-point dry riser service, with a full detailed electronic report provided after every visit
Wet riser and fire hydrant testing and commissioning carried out in accordance with BS9990:2015, using the latest digital flow and test equipment
Competitive standard, all-inclusive, or bespoke service agreements, alongside maintenance of additional fire protection equipment (subject to enquiry)
What you'll be doing?
Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and growth.
Generate sales leads and convert them into business deals.
Sell and secure PPM contracts for dry and wet riser systems.
Prepare and deliver business proposals, presentations, and contracts.
Negotiate agreements and close deals with clients.
Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitors.
Work with sales, marketing, and product teams to support business growth.
Track sales performance and report results to senior management.
What we’re looking for:
Proven track record of full cycle B2B sales.
A passion for connecting and building strong relationships with clients.
Experience with working within the fire protection industry (not essential but beneficial)
